Well, a month+ into development, there is already a nodebased editor, it supports having almost unlimited (well, depends on ram/space) canvases with nodes, intertwined into eachother, parameters linked across canvases and multicast transmission of values. And it is starting to work!
A whooping 234 of the IntrinsicFX effects have been ported from 32bit to 64bit, but just for FXtuate for now.
Per Pixel Parameters
A new feature in FXtuate, is that almost ALL IntrinsicFX effects (made to work in FXtuate) to some degree support MOST parameters receiving an Image or a WarpField as input, spatial parameters! It means the image is sampled for brightness of each pixel and that value is sent in as the parameter value, either per pixel or with a GridFX node you can do per grid cell. Also there is a new node made called Spatial Pixelate that does a lot of things to these values, both for images and what I call WarpFields, the WarpFields are grid controlled x,y values, and can control parameters in general. So the parameters supporting Per Pixel Parameters can take either a WarpField input or an Image input to control over the output area.
Simply put you can f.ex. have a black/white portrait of someone as an input and get almost any parameter controlled per pixel of the output, gives a vast amount of options.

Algorithm Scale
The second thing that was added, was support for a NEW parameter for almost all effects, called AlgorithmScale, it scales the output/input ratio of most effects in a meaningful way, so that at higher resolutions you can still get similar results as lower resolution processing, just spread over more pixels. This is not just scaling but scaling the actual processing where it is meaningful.
I am excited for the future advancements of this, the release of FXtuate is still a bit far away right now, but it is really taking shape!

FXtuate is an idea for a creative playground for generative art and high-resolution rendering using FX plugins. Stills first, maybe video in the future.
The base idea was a command line renderer of FreeFrame video effects plugins, processing larger resolution images in tiles.
The original FXtuate logo was created with this older command-line FX renderer. The text distortion used an IscSineWave FreeFrame plugin, while the background came from a larger image processed in tiles using an IscPlasma effect.
